What an incredible week on the bay. After weeks of rain, we finally got a break. Light winds and warming (Ok it kinda got hot) conditions ushered in the finest week of fishing this summer. Rumors abound all over the bay of big fish caught and released. Fortunately for me and my clients, we got to partake in the celebration.
We accounted for ten trout over 25" the past three trips and it was a lot of fun being a part of fishing with some real first class individuals.
The rising tides somewhat scattered my usually consistent redfish bite. We did manage a couple of nice ones like this one.

Maybe the lack of redfish could be blamed on a banana that somehow found its way on my boat LOL.

I was fortunate to get a hook in a couple of nice fish myself and even managed to land a few.

Lest you think I was the only catching anything, I had some clients who had career days on the water themselves. Dickie accounted for three Big Girls on his own while some of his buddies added to the already impressive tally.

No, this isn't the same fish LOL.

Larry had this Big Girl just to keep Dickie honest.

And then this guy again!!

Then I had the pleasure of fishing a Father/Son group and the old man put it on us. On top of that, he did it old school with the venerable purple/ yellow Queen Cocahoe Minnow. Nice job Mr. D.

And a video of the release

As usual, it was fantastic fishing with old friends and new and I look forward to my next few days on the water.
Remember to practice conservation and just keep 5. Later, Aubrey
