Jason ans I got to go home today from the weather being bad so decided to go hunting but my gun wasn.t shooting right for some reason
so I went to place to shoot and my scope was bad so bought a new one and mounted it and shot it in sweet 6 shots and was in the bullseye
for 4 shots at 100 yards so off to the field we went

Well let me start with last week my brother-in-law and I went to the lease as we started to walk towards our blinds,we heard three loud bangs as if a truck had just hit a metal pipe,I remember last year a Hog was hitting the feeders to bring the corn down,my brother-in-law when to his blind I decided to go to a ground blind at the corner of the lease,I was 10yards to the blind when I see the hog running to the other side if the fence WOW,go thing he cross I though to my self it was dawn sun...

Has anyone heard whom might be taking over the operations at Calaveras and braunig lake? I heard that a company by the name of 1000 lakes was going to be running the facility. The person who told me this also said that it will cost a 1000.00 a year to use these lakes.

Went fishing today for about 2 hrs. CAught a 6-4 and than a 8-11 bass .

Also caught some big crawfish in a perch trap I think 'm on to something.

my sons &i, are planing a trip down there.we are not sure ,do they have shad or shiners.if so were do we throw the cast net.were planing to get on at the hwy.99 bridge.to do some white bass & catfishing.I know three rivers town has some bait shops around there,but thats a little further down the road.Any tips or experiance would be appreciated.Thanks again.

My bro has been wanting to get out with me so i figured i'd take him out...Was hoping for a better day but hey what can you do. Took us forever to even find a fish, then when i did i noticed they were stacked THIICK up on the flats. We must have caught 10-15 dinks!!! with only 1 25" keeper mixed in. I know manny had really great day before i got there i heard they were hitting really well all big solid fish!! I saw him catch a nice 30+" right by where i was.... Oh well story...

got on about 10:30am.Ancored at 181 cove,about one hour,zipp.Downriggid,right of jetty wall and to and up back from powerlines caught one stripper it's dinner, nothing else. Will try my luck again tomorrow.

Arrived at the lake around 12:30 to a pretty stiff south wind. Trolled to where we had left them biting last time i was there and sure enough after a little locating found them! On my first pass ended up with a triple but i was by myself so only was able to land 1 the others got off...I then reeled in teh crankbait to check it and both front and back hooks were bent to $h!t!!!! That always pisses me off when hooks bend. Oh well i knew they'd still be hitting. Turned around and...

Well I %$+# civil service at the the 149th guard unit. My supervisor who has been there for over 30 yrs is going to retire now and his last weekend drill with us will be on the 5th of Dec. We wanted to get him a gift possibly a custom rod as he bought a home in Aransas pass. Can anyone point me in the right direction to get prices or who makes them.
